“My hunch is that if we allow ourselves to give who we really are to the children in our care, we will in some way inspire cartwheels in their hearts” (Fred Rogers).

I feel so blessed to be returning to The Ark this year and am thrilled to once again be part of such a wonderful team of teachers! Teaching has always been my passion – I can remember lining up all my animals and dolls as a little girl and playing school for hours on end. I have always had a special place in my heart for young children in particular and am drawn to their zest for learning and the excitement and energy they bring into a classroom. I always look forward to the beginning of the school year and meeting all of your wonderful children, then watching them create beautiful friendships and grow and develop with every new experience. Becoming a mother has certainly put a new perspective on teaching for me and has truly made me a more patient and nurturing teacher.

When I’m not at The Ark I am at home with my two little girls playing barbies, dressing up, baking cookies and taking advantage of the wonderful parks and playgrounds that Wheaton has to offer!
